This is a public service announcement only. Denver Divorce Support and Parenting classes are provided by an independent organization. To register or learn more, call Debbie Carter of Single Parent & Family Outreach at 720.935.2440 or go to www.spfoutreach.com

If you are experiencing divorce, then you may be all too familiar with the feelings of overwhelming sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, loneliness, loss of concentration, confusion, guilt and despair that often accompany divorce.

In the midst of handling all of the practical aspects of the divorce process, it’s extremely easy to overlook the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of divorce and your new role as a single parent. However, it is a fact that individuals and families who give intention to education and the healing process are often transformed into individuals and families who function better than they did before the divorce.

Participating in a Divorce Adjustment Group or Single Parenting Class can help you to begin the healing process and bring hope to what may seem to be a hopeless situation. You have opportunity to participate in either group beginning in mid August.

The Divorce Adjustment Group is offered on either Monday or Wednesday evening from 7-8:30PM. It is a 14-week program which weekly addresses a topic pertinent to divorce and allows time for discussion and sharing in a group setting. Divorce Adjustment is offered on a continuously running basis, so that you may begin participating any week, continue for the 13 weeks following.

The Single Parenting Class is a 7-week class which will help you build confidence in your parenting and encourage small changes that will result in large improvement in the emotional atmosphere of your home. Whether you are the custodial or noncustodial parent, or are parenting singly due to separation, death, or choice, you will benefit from education and group sharing. The classes are offered on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 5:45-6:45PM.
